What I did on my bday
I have the worst hangover today. Too many drinks and drugs. The toilet is not my friend, he does not like me anymore. And my arm is still sore from my new tattoo.
If only all of that was true
I didn't want to do much on my birthday,
and that's what I did. You find out a lot about the people around you during your birthday. You should not, however, make a final judgement on people if they call you or not. When people can remember and call/contact me on my birthday, it means a lot.
I found out a lot about one particular person yesterday. What I found out is not good. This person has been in and out of my life and just talking to this person yesterday made me realize that I should not have much to do with him/her anymore.
On the other hand, thanks to everyone who said happy bday to me. I really appreciate it. Here are some random thoughts:
Life goes on. Good luck in the new year.

- Dy was a sweetie yesterday.
- Kuaz is my bro no matter how much we don't chill.
- Glen and Geoff are fam
- Lawrence is my favourite Crusty Catholic roommate, dave and joe are my favourite Dirty Protestant roommates
- Bernice is the only person I haven't met before and wished me happy birthday
- JRO and Teo are my favourite boys who are shorter than me
- Brent, you hold the title of blooper of the year, set this morning at around 2AM
- Rich, where's your sister?
- Mike, you better enjoy that lap dance from the ugliest chick
- I'm the HORSE champion winning two prizes paid by Rich, Mike and Brent
- Eileen and Melissa, thanks for all the wonderful gifts, you are the best sisters
- Jay and Dave, thanks for the gifts
- Thanks mom and dad, I owe you my life
- I'm glad I did not invite a lot of people. It was one of my more enjoyable birthdays in a long time
Life goes on. Good luck in the new year.

Merry Boxing Day
Merrry Christmas everybody. I hope you all had a good time with your family and friends during Christmas. This morning I went to the Futureshop boxing day sale. To my suprise, at 6am, it was already open and there were a lot of people there, and the salespeople were on crack. I was hoping to find some good deals, but there weren't many at all.
Tomorrow is my bday and I'm not looking to anything. Maybe I'll have the typical dinner, but not with a lot of people. Ah who knows.

I passed
I had my driving test for my G this morning. I passed. She said I "drive very well". Cool
It's my dad's bday today as well. Happy bday dude!
Earlier this week, one of my close friends, Aileen, lost her grandfather. All of our prayers and thoughts go out to her and her family.

If my zits could talk...
then they could think, then they can solve problems, then they can probably study and write my exams for me. Enough about my first break out in over a year.
Geoff, Glen, Breanne and I performed at the Granite Country Club. At first, they didn't let Breanne and Glen in the building because of the way they were dressed. What an eery start. After they knew we were the performers, it was ok. This place was nice. Once you walked through the door you knew you were in a place where people talk about their cars and furniture made out of money.
We set up and began to practice. This was our first practice with Breanne, but she caught up easily. If you don't know Breanne, she was in Rising Star in the Solo Vocal Category. I haven't seen her since (Geoff and Glen have), and we quickly remembered how good she was.
This was a kids Christmas show. Lots of parents, lots of kids, lots of clowns. We being the only teenagers and early 20s people there, we were looked at funny. The men there also kept staring at Breanne...these rich dudes want everything.
Our performance was cool, some mess ups and miscues by everyone, but it's ok. No judges. After the performance, we had a little training session with the kids where they learned some moves. There were so many of them, it was hard to teach the all, but had fun. We also learned that Ketchup dance. Yeah.
Ok, back to studying. One more exam, one more project.

Merry Christmas
That's about all folks! The Lam Cam's been disconnected and the whole room is empty now. My parents came today to bring almost everything back to Toronto. After the exam I'm gonna hop on a bus express to T-dot and enjoy the holidays. Good luck with the rest of your exams. It's been an interesting term.

Coming home this weekend
I have an exam tomorrow from 9-12. After that, I head home to Toronto. The show is on Sunday and we're thinking of doing that tribute show we were talking about in the summer (Since we have more time to perform).
Yesterday, I wrote my Digital Circuit Design Final. It was a 23 page monster. You had to work really hard for a 4 mark question. I wouldn't say that it was a hard exam, it was long. It was supposed to be a 3 hour exam, but really it was written as a 4 hour exam. I remember about half way through, my brain got toasted because I was writing and thinking so much. My brain was so toasted I forgot how to read. So I stopped and did nothing for 2 minutes and then the trauma wore off and I began my frenzy. I finished the exam, but I didn't have time to check it over properly. To me, that's not finishing it.
I also went to confession last night with Lawrence...
I'm enjoying the few moments I'm not studying or writing exams or doing my project.

Lots to do
There's no shortage of things to do, but there is shortage of sleep. I've found that studying for my exams was harder than originally thought. There was a lot of material this term and for courses like CS you have to know every little detail.
Here's an abbreviated list
I might have put a little too much on my plate this month. If you see me this holiday though, that means I survived.
Here's an abbreviated list
- Thurs 12:Digital Circuit Design Exam
- Thurs 12:friend's bday
- Sat 14:Chaos and Fractals Exam
- Sat 14:practice for show on sun in Toronto
- Sun 15:Christmas Show in Toronto
- Mon 16:Sequential Programming Exam
- Thurs 19:Chaos and Fractals Project Due (20% of my mark)
- Mon 23:Driving exam(Was supposed to be this week, but that would be too much)

Lam Cam on the Road
1 down...I went to bed at 10:30 hoping to get soem extra sleep...everytime I do this I end up waking up early. I woke up at 12:44 am...I didn't get back to bed until 3:30 am. I called a friend, then I went online and chatted a bit but still couldn't sleep until about 3:30. Well, at least I still got my 7 hours...although I would have liked to have much more. Fish is good for brain food, which is why it smells more when I cook. But the exam was easy enough. I'm sure I passed.

I searched for my name, "Raymond Mendoza", on Google for some boring reason, then My site came up. Weird. I guess.
Most of us are studying for finals. I've got one tomorrow. We have to remember that the QUALITY of studying is more important than the QUANTITY of studying. It seems obvious, but I find myself trying to study a lot without getting much done.
I try to stay motivated in any way possible. It is really difficult. I'm looking already past exams to Christmas, some birthdays, new years and my new job(s).
Oh yeah, I'm considering getting a part time job aside from my software development job at Research in Motion. Cat might be able to hook me up at a Bubble Tea place, though I'm not the hugest fan of bubble tea, but I do like it.
I love run-on sentences, don't you because sometimes they are therapeutic and at night, birds fly south.
And always remember that every 2-connected graph has a 6 flow even though the Petersen Graph has no 4 flow. You can always convert a mod-k flow by finding a directed path from a vertex of positive net flow to a vertex of negative net out flow and reversing the edge directions. One last thing, there is always a perfect matching in a graph if for every subset X, |X| >= the number of odd components in the graph without X. That one will work all the time with the ladies.

Waking Up
Last Sunday's gospel reading ended with the words: "Keep Awake". So I gotta wake up and get busy. Not only is it Advent, it's also exam time. Lectures are over and there's one final hurdle. Final exams. As much as I can't wait to get back home for Christmas, I know I gotta keep focused for just a bit more.
