Albums....

I recently downloaded some albums that I want to buy. The first is Boyz II Men Throwback. That album is so dope. They remake the classic love songs. Highly recommended.

The other album is Rahzel Greatest Knockouts Volume 1. I've heard many great beatboxers, but this album reinforces that Rahzel is my favourite by far.

VMAs...

did you catch the VMAs last night? I missed the last half hour, but the rest was pretty good. Kanye West, Outkast, and Alicia Keys are my type of performers. I think I hate Lil jon and his boys. Shaq looked skinny like he was last time he played for a florida team.

My show today was pretty sloppy it was worse than the first one and the judges noticed it...
I need a lot of work a prayer to pull this one off...
hopefully my Semi-final round will be much better than both...

Quarter Life Crisis

They call it the "Quarter-life Crisis." It is when you
stop going along with the crowd and start realizing
that there are many things about yourself that you
didn't know and may not like. You start feeling
insecure and wonder where you will be in a year or
two, but then get scared because you barely know where you are now.

You start realizing that people are selfish and that,
maybe, those friends that you thought you were so
close to aren't exactly the greatest people you have
ever met, and the people you have lost touch with are
some of the most important ones. What you don't
recognize is that they are realizing that too, and
aren't really cold, catty, mean or insincere, but that
they are as confused as you.

You look at your job... and it is not even close to
what you thought you would be doing, or maybe you are looking for a job and realizing that you are going to
have to start at the bottom and that scares you.

Your opinions have gotten stronger. You see what
others are doing and find yourself judging more than
usual because suddenly you realize that you have
certain boundaries in your life and are constantly
adding things to your list of what is acceptable and
what isn't. One minute, you are insecure and then the
next, secure. You laugh and cry with the greatest
force of your life. You feel alone and scared and
confused. Suddenly, change is the enemy and you try
and cling on to the past with dear life, but soon
realize that the past is drifting further and further
away, and there is nothing to do but stay where you
are or move forward.

You get your heart broken and wonder how someone you loved could do such damage to you. Or you lie in bed and wonder why you can't meet anyone decent enough that you want to get to know better. Or maybe you love someone but love someone else too and cannot figure out why you are doing this because you know that you aren't a bad person. One night stands and random hook ups start to look cheap. Getting wasted and acting like an idiot starts to look pathetic.

You go through the same emotions and questions over
and over, and talk with your friends about the same
topics because you cannot seem to make a decision. You worry about loans, money, the future and making a life for yourself... and while winning the race would be
great, right now you'd just like to be a contender!

What you may not realize is that everyone reading this
relates to it. We are in our best of times and our worst
of times, trying as hard as we can to figure this whole
thing out.

Recently, I started to dislike hip hop. I just didn't like what I was hearing lately. I was getting sick of it. I'm sick of hearing about your money and girls. How many hip hop videos don't have booty girls in them?

Then I opened up my underground hip hop folder that I totally forgot about. It reminded me of the realness. Most top-40 stuff is catchy, but has little substance. Soon, hip hop will be replaced by something else in pop culture and those rappers won't be talking about their money anymore. You never know, asians and orientals might replace the current pop culture. It's unlikely, but wouldn't that be hilarious?

I read the book a while ago... I dunno... doesn't seem like it saw 9/11 or any of these other events coming.

I downloaded this video from bittorrent about the Bible Code. I remember seeing a book about it a long time ago. The basic premise is that the Bibile is supposed to contain details of all historical events in the past, present, and future.

The video wasn't really convincing to me, but I haven't finished it yet. One thing it said was that every 50th letter of the 1st,2nd,4th, and 5th books of the Torah spell Torh, and some pattern in the 3rd book spell Yahweh. The probability of this occurring is something like 10 million to one.

10 million to 1 isn't that big. I dunno, this bible code seems a little flaky to me.

My parents will be visiting me in Seattle on Friday. They will stay here for a week until we all fly to LA to see some family.

After that, it's back to t-dot, then back to loo.

Hopefully I can catch Glen at the rising star finals ;)

"Dream" team got blown out yesterday. It's actually funny how they don't call them the dream team anymore. I think it's silly to think that the rest of the world has really caught up to the US. There are only four all-stars on the team, and not four starting all stars.

I have been working on this site, but it's my vacation and I've been taking it easy...except at work.

I played broomball today. It's Amazon.com's official company sport. Basically it's hockey with brooms as sticks and a big exercise ball as a puck. Also, it's played on grass. I'm not usually good at these sports so I have to rely on the little coordination and athleticsm I possess.

It's been over a year since the famous filipino from St. Mike's not named Brent jumped onto the scene.

If you haven't figured out who that is, it's Mikey Bustos. Bustos is currently recording in New York. He's on his way.

For the longest time, however, I thought that the first asian/oriental popstar had to be female. Females are just more universally accepted. Black girls, white girls, etc. don't generally like asian dudes, but black guys and white guys like asian girls.

This year's star CanAsian is Elena Juatco.

She goes to Queen's, so maybe she was there at that asian conference/jam 5th element performed and DJ'd at.

I totally forgot about Canadian idol until my parents reminded me about it. Who needs TV when you have bittorrent? I downloaded a few episodes to catch up. Elena sounds and looks good, but she acts like she leads the Mickey Mouse club for adults. You know...the kind of attitude that would be called annoying if she wasn't good looking.

I'm not hating, I think she sounds good, and I'd like to see her win. I just hope her doctor reduces her prescription of speed.

Pinoy: "Pan Amercano..."
Waiter: "We don't have that..."
Pinoy: "Okey. Gib me Taystee..."
Waiter: "We don't have that either, sir..."
Pinoy: "Do you heb pan de lemon or bonete?"

Waiter: "Sir, you are wasting my time... I shall ask for the last time, what would you like for breakfast?"
Pinoy: "Donut plis..."
