happy birthday spittz and kristin Kreuk

A massive happy birthday goes out to Spittz. For those of you who don't know, Spittz is a beatboxer. He and Kuaz were 5th Element's own Red and Meth...the beatbox version. For a reminder download this video.

Another massive happy birthday goes out to Kristin Kreuk.

yo weirdo

what the ____ is this? yo! we no idiots. enough of this shutz

I'm too lazy to put a subject

Drink 8 x 8 glasses of water each day

Take Vitamin? B5 (pantothenic acid) 50 mg 3 x a day . It is an anti-stress vitamin that is involved in healthy cellular reproduction. It is a fact that deficiencies of it in the body have been linked to acne.?

Take Zinc 30-80 mg a day (no more). It aids in healing tissue and helps prevent scarring. Helps regulate oil producing glands.

Take Garlic or eat it! Garlic strengthens the immune system and destroys harmful bacteria and some toxins.

Take Vitamin C 3,000 mg a day in 2 doses. It has anti-inflammatory properties as well as immune function support.

Eat fish! or take Essential Fatty Acids to supply the skin with gamma linolenic acid that is needed to keep skin soft, repair damage and help dissolve fatty deposits in the skin pores. Be careful of Sushi, as the nori wrap contains huge doses of iodine, which is irritating to pores as it is excreted through the skin.

Avoid products with mineral oil, petroleum, waxes, tallowates, fragrances

Change you pillow case every 2-3 days

Avoid greasy hair pomades or gels ( can get on your skin at night while you sleep or aggravate scalp, hairline.)

Wash your cell phone or house phone with alcohol or anti-bac soap often

I LOVE THIS ONE, TOO!

Re: Mr. Fantastic

I should be "The Thing" I'll have to lose weight and muscle though
I just went for a ran about 4KM in the park with 15cm of snow. I felt like Rocky. It was fun
I'm watching this TV show called Dance 360. The dude with big lips from Onyx hosts the show. They have a big circle of dancers and they basically pick dancers from the circle to showcase and battle. It's kinda ghetto and wack at the same time: wacko. In the episode I saw, dancers were pretty wack. Try to watch it.

Mr. Fantastic

I should be Mr. Fantastic.

Thanks for the greetings

I appreciate the greetings from everyone. Thanks very much.

Like I said before the holidays began, we need to think about Christ and all of our blessings.

We all have crosses to bear. For me: stress of school, career choices, and skin problems. Most of the time, these things frustrate me and give me a pessimistic and dark view of the world. These holidays, however, showed me that I'm blessed with so many family and friends who support me unconditionally.

I don't know how I'll pay them back, but I will.

Merry Christmas

Yes, sorry I have been trying to avoid the computer as much as possible since finishing my last exam. These exams went pretty well. I got one of the highest exam marks in the course I was a total dumb ass in: Circuit Analysis and Design. I studied my ass off for it, so I think I earned it.
Hopefully, we all remember why we have these holidays. It's about Christ's birth. This time provides us with another opportunity to give thanks for all of our blessings no matter how many hardships we have gone through.

It's a season of giving, so I'm giving this to you: this year's Christmas card from Dy and I:

Happy Birthday dad!

A super massive auspicious happy birthday goes out to my DAD!

Re: I'm back in town: When are you leaving? I'm back the 22nd.
Got my grad pics back today. I don't think my mom will be pleased. I was in the real-time lab almost two days straight, but I got a half night's rest before the pictures. Fake smiling, but not absolutely horrible as you would assume. My sisters look better in their grad pics than I do in mine....I was a little afraid I'd look like a ghost like in my highschool grad pic, but I didn't really.

Ah well what are you gonna do?
You know my hard drive is failing on my main machine...That's two hard drives in 5 months. Thank God for waranties. Don't trust your hard drive.

i'm back in town

hope to see you Ray and Dy before I fly off to Florida.

pretty woman

I went Christmas shopping today and I felt like Pretty Woman carrying all those bags through the mall. I'm glad I made progress this time. My previous attempts at shopping were disasters. I think Church had an effect on it. At the end of mass, the priest said "Don't let the Christmas holiday stresses get to you. Just enjoy the holiday." It's simple, but effective.
Re: Cool site: that's like that zeller's commercial with the infinite picture zooms. Everytime I saw that commercial, I thought to my self, "What the heck is Zeller's doing with such a cool commercial"
I finished my Circuits exam yesterday. It went OK, but I'm glad I'm done with that chapter of my life.

firefox

Timothy must have donated an obscene amount of money or something. That's my guess.

Sorry your firefox is crashing on you. I'm guessing you're using the latest version? Thanks for supporting the browswe though!

The reason I like firefox is:
  • Tabbed browsing: multiple windows are too messy
  • Extensibility: free extensions like Weather, adblock, and the ability to write my own extensions
  • security: I'm sick of installing patches that require me to restart my computer and using a browser that's a constant target

L: you're site has Microsoft specific javascript code, but it still looks good to me. There are a few sites that are still like that. My guess is that people have to start designing sites for browsers other than IE. Even Netscape is coming out with a new one. Netscape is a little different now. They're using 2 different engines to render pages: IE and firefox (gecko). So I guess you have the best and worst of both worlds.
I've restarted development on this site. I'm not saying it will be finished soon, because I'm basically rewriting this site from scratch. The codebase is 2.5 years old now and it will claim it's retirement fund before 3.
I'll be making my brief return to Toronto in 5 days, but I have 3 exams before that. Hopefully I'm sane by that time.

'Timothy J. Mickol'

Why's that dude's name underlined?

and firefox keeps randomly closing on me...but i still use it because YOU say so boss *thumbs up*

Myself

I'm not supposed to be a Microsoft Nut, but I never could get into Firefox =(

There's some cool stuff going on there, and surely Microsoft has been pretty lazy with putting out a new version, but it's worked fine for me.

Oh yeah, and Firefox doesn't display my site properly.

spread firefox

If you are still using Internet Explorer, Go here to get a real browser. It seems like I'm hating on Microsoft, but I'm not. I'm hating on bad products. I like XP, but I hate IE and their stupid routers, among other things.

Anyway, a while back, I probably mentioned that I donated a few bucks to Firefox because they were running a full page ad in the New York Times. If you donate, your name gets printed. Obviously there was a lot of people who donated and they raised enough funds to publish two pages. Because there are so many, it seems insignificant...but I'm still part of history.

The torrent of exams begins very soon.

microsoft Router

If you are thinking of going wireless with your network, DO NOT consider Microsoft's Wireless Router. It is a complete piece of junk. I have to reboot the router 4-6 times a week! That's with the latest firmware too! I finally understood why they stopped making them. They are probably on sale now, but don't be tempted to buy it. I'm glad I never bought it. It just came with the place I'm renting.

Microsoft should just stick to things they're good at. They should stay away from hardware and let the real engineers do their job.

long time

Hey..it's been a while since I've posted. I've been studying very hard for my finals. Particularly, I've been studying hard for Electric Circuit Analysis and Design. I'm not naturally good at that course so I have to work extra hard at it. I've made good progress, but my brain's feeling a little toasted...In any case, wish me luck on that one. Perhaps some prayer too...
You might notice that I changed the "Me Today" pic. That pic was like more than a year old. This year's Christmas gift for myself was a $7 Flash hat. That's as much as I deserve this year, but I'm proud of it.
Speaking of Superheros, you probably know that there is a superman movie coming out in 2006. There's been talk of a supergirl movie. Check out this photoshoped promo somebody did. It looks pretty good.

If you don't know this girl, she's from the movie "The Girl Next Door" and the TV show "Popular Mechanics for Kids". I was a huge fan of Popular Mechanics, not because of her, but because I love those shows like Bill Nye the Science Guy.
I haven't only been studying, to keep myself sane, I have been running everyday at the Gym. Also, I started up that old never ending project called "redesigning this site". I looked at my design I whipped up over the summer....wack...so I'm doing another one.
Oh yeah, go to that The One thing...support the locals!
I have exams till the 22nd. I'll be doing some late Christmas shopping.

Re: My concert

As I said earlier, I went to Lawrence's concert. He's part of a Catholic music band called Critical Mass. The event was part of a fund raising project for a church. Here's a pic from where I was sitting:

Here's a pic of lawrence after the show...lifting the keyboard with ease:

Here's lawrence and Jeff Wong, another SMC alumuni.

Finally, here's Big L doing the customary autograph for a big fan. Quick Fact: Lawrence learned to read before kindergarten, but he still holds a pen like he's in kindergarten.

I enjoyed the show. It's not exactly my kind of music, but I was entertained. Lawrence looked like he was into it, so did the lead vocalist...although the lead sounded a little raw...perhaps too much singing? The lead vocalist pocketed my favourite syrup, Buckley's. So I'm guessing he's not 100%.

Highlight of the night would have to be "O Come Emmanuel"...not because Emmanuel is my middle name, but because it was slow, I like songs where the bass line drives the melody, and I understood the words. This brings me to my one criticism. I couldn't understand any of the lyrics to any of the songs. I think I heard "Jesus" here and "pray" somewhere, but those words could have easily been "heathen" and "spray". For Christian music, the lyrics are 90% of the performance. We're not talking about Reggae where lyrics don't matter since they probably don't make sense anyway. Oh but I'd like to hear some Catholic Reggae.

So I couldn't understand and so they started to look like a good sounding rock band. I was going to buy the CD after, but vintage me, I didn't have cash. I'm a bad target if you want to rob me of cash.

I had a good time though and I'm proud of L and his crew. They've got a superstar, non-stop scehdule so I hope they come out sane.

Reminds me

Ray,

thanks for the reminder...

remember when we saw the roots at HMV...and black thought was like...
"a lota cats be coming up to me sayin...what the fuck is eryka sayin yo!...and i'd be like...fuck i dunno..."

got a pic w/ black thought ...well...his back...hahahahaha...

yo yo yo...this is questlove sayin peace to the unreal eth-x...too unreal...

yeah

My concert

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts...we are kicking ourselves over it.

You got me

I was listening to "You Got Me" by the Roots on my MP3 player and I just realized what Eryka Badu is saying. I know it's an old song, but this is a revelation to me. If you didn't know either, then read then listen.

If you are worried about where
I been or who I saw or
what club I went to with my homies
Baby don't worry you know that you got me

Also, I went to L's fund raising concert. I'll post pictures and a review when I get home tonight.

happy Birthday Dave!

A massive happy birthday goes out to Dave Paek, my sister, Eileen's, bf.

Your gift will come after exams, Dave...sorry for the delay

If you haven't noticed, there have been some interesting posts in the guestbook. I'm glad those comments are going there than here.

I have two more classes and one tutorial left in this term. I wouldn't say this term flew by. It was more like a walk through sludge.

I took my grad pictures today...bright and early at 8:20AM. I'm usually quite pale in the morning, so I wouldn't be suprised if I look like a ghost.

I asked the photographer why everyone looks like a stiff board in their pictures, particularly males. He said that most people don't know how to pose for headshots and males have a tendency to look effeminate.

Since I have exams till the 22nd, Christmas shopping may happen later than expected.

In response to some previous posts in the guestbook:

My sister, Melissa, is not my twin. I never heard that one before.

Someone doesn't understand this site. I'll let she/he figure it out...and i'm not gay.

happy Birthday Dave!
