Happy Valentine's day

6 years and 8 months for Dy and me.

Relationships are hard in so many ways.

For some, it's hard just to get into a relationship.
For some, it's hard just to stay in a relationship.
For some, it's hard to get out of a relationship.

The reason why it's so hard is because relationships are at the core of existence. Relationships bring scientific and emotional meaning to everything we know. Knowing everything about something so dynamic and complex is nearly impossible. Even those who have memorized "Men are from Mars..." are still vulnerable to heart break and rejection.

Being in a relationship as long as Dy and I have, we've almost all the challenges a young couple can experience. We fight through them because our relationship is worth fighting for.

Don't be mistaken, Valentine's day isn't always about boyfriend-girlfriend, husband-wife. It's about sharing moments with loved ones.

More importantly, it's the beginning of the Holiest Season, Lent. Back in the day, Christians only celebrated Lent. They didn't celebrate Christmas or any other feast. That speaks to how important this Lenten season is.

So we have to give something up so we can suffer and reject temptation like Jesus did in the desert.

One of the superficial things I'm giving up on is snacking...particularly snacking on Arrowroot cookies.

Have a nice day.
