streakers

No streakers in Waterloo that I've seen.

Just to let everyone know, there will be a Hip Hop Dance competition in Waterloo on November 28th with Geoff, Glen, and I competing AGAINST each other. We're representing, U of T, York, and Waterloo respectively.

We will have a special performance by Maestro. Also, I've asked Bustos to perform, but I'm not sure if he's available. I've also asked some other talented vocalists as well. I'll see if 5th Element Sound Crew can run the sound show.

I'm excited.

How were they dressed

How were the thugs dressed? I had a dream that I was in a bad part of LA. It all started when some big black limo pulled up across the street and then these suits jumped out and gunned some guy to death, then down the street more violence broke out between ghetto gangsters and before I knew it I was in a war zone.

weird dream

I had a weird dream last night.

I was doing an interview with Microsoft. It went OK. He asked a lot of questions about C. Anyways, after that, I went to this balloon/party store to buy a gift for someone.

As I walk out the store and enter my car, some thug comes up to me with a gun and threatens to kill me. I was scared sh**less. Luckily he leaves, but another thug comes after him and actually shoots me in the heart. I was conscious for a few seconds, then I pass out.

I wake up (still alive I suppose) and I'm in the hospital. There's a party going on. John Ritter has taken custody of me. He took all my wealth (apparently I had some in the dream) and was using it for himself. I was mad, but I guess happy that I survived.

hmm..

San Diego is Burning

4 fires started in the forest...then they spread and homes started to get evacuated...when I woke up the sky was all orangey-red. I went outside and there was thick black smoke blocking the sun.

Ash started falling everywhere. The sidewalks look like huge ash trays. It looked like it was snowing there was so much ash falling. The air smells like a campfire but like you were smelling it from right over the fire.

I'm okay. I'm sufficiently far away and unless the winds change directions, I don't think I'll have to evacuate. But the fire's already jumped over the highway, which I thought would be a good barrier.

Re: that thing

Magic Hill...really, really sucked!!!!!!!!! The actors were wash outs, you could tell they wanted to just go home. They are probably all overworked, cold and sick and tired of some of the punks that go there. Well, at least we know where not to go next year.

That thing

Magic hill was a disappointment. The crew was Fernando,Boom, teo, leen,dy, and I. We get there at around 9:30. We wait 30minutes to pay $21 for 3 attractions.

OK. So it's 10pm and we get in line for the "trail trek". 1.5 hours later and a run in with some line-budders, 6 cold and frustrated 5th Elememt friends.

We walk through...and ehhh..I was trying my hardest to be scared, but it was not to be.

After a 30min lineup, we got into the 2nd one. It was better, but nothing special

To add insult to injury, it started raining. We still had 1 more to go to. Good thing this one, like the previous one, was inside.

dootdadootboo..It's pouring. We have to walk back to our car. Soaked and disappointed. At least the conversation in the line was pretty good.

The scare of the night was when someone creeped behind Dy and scared her and she said "I thought you were Fernando!"

Ahh well..

Don't go. NOT Recommended.

I would highly recommend this blackberry. It has all the PDA functionality with Internet, email, and phone. I use it everyday. If I needed a PDA or something and even if I didn't work at RIM, I would buy this model.

When I made this picture, this is what I was thinking. I wanted it to be me watching one of my practice videos. After I made it, it seemed a little vain. But, it's only me watching. I don't know. Whatever.

Approaching 10000

My site is approaching 10000 hits. wow.

It reminds me that I have to put the rest of the Europe pics up. I already put up like 400!

There are performance videos from this year that I have yet to upload as well.

I hear that link that Dy posted was pretty cool. I will download it in a bit.

Two big things that I haven't mentioned. Happy Anniversary to my parents!!! It's been 28 years on Oct 11. Also, Happy birthday to my sister, Eileen (oct 14)!!!

What you doing for Halloween? A few of my friends are going to this place where there are 4 really scary trails/rides/places or whatever you call them. I'm excited to get scared. We'll probably dress up too.

I'm performing today for the 30 Hour Famine. It's a fundraiser for hungry children around the world. That should be ok....

I'm starting to feel a little burnt out. Like thanksgiving, there's a lot of stuff on my plate.

We all have our crosses to bear, so this will be my last complaint.

Thanks for giving

I hope everyone has a great thanksgiving...Don't eat too much.

I got a day off work today. Thanks bosses!

I decided to catch up on homework and some rest before I head back to the dot.

Here are some pictures that we took over the summer. We're wearing my good friend's (PAT), jacket. It's leather complete with spikes and safety pins. It sounds like my old hat.

English is a Crazy Language!

Let's face it -- English is a crazy language. There is no egg in eggplant
nor ham in hamburger; neither
apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren't invented in England
or French fries in France.
Sweetmeats are candies while sweetbreads, which aren't sweet, are meat.

We take English for granted. But if we explore its paradoxes, we find
that quicksand can work slowly,
boxing rings are square and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor is it
a pig.
And why is it that writers write but fingers don't fing, grocers don't
groce and hammers don't ham? If
the plural of tooth is teeth, why isn't the plural of booth beeth? One
goose, 2 geese. So one moose, 2
meese... One blouse, 2 blice?

Doesn't it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend, that
you comb through annals of
history but not a single annal? If you have a bunch of odds and ends and
get rid of all but one of them,
what do you call it?

If teachers taught, why don't preachers praught? If you wrote a letter,
perhaps you bote your tongue?
Sometimes I think all the English speakers should be committed to an
asylum for the verbally insane. In
what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital? Ship by
truck and send cargo by ship?
Have noses that run and feet that smell? Park on driveways and drive on
parkways?

How can a "slim chance" and a "fat chance" be the same, while a "wise
man" and "wise guy" are opposites?
How can overlook and oversee be opposites, while "quite a lot" and "quite
a few" are alike? How can the
weather be "hot as hell" one day and "cold as hell" another?

Have you noticed that we talk about certain things only when they are
absent? Have you ever seen a
horseful carriage or a strapful gown? Met a sung hero or experienced
requited love? Have you ever run
into someone who was combobulated, gruntled, ruly or peccable? And where
are all those people who are
spring chickens or who would actually hurt a fly?

You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house
can burn up as it burns down,
in which you fill in a form by filling it out and in which an alarm clock
goes off by going on.

English was invented by people, not computers, and it reflects the
creativity of the human race (which,
of course, isn't a race at all). That is why, when the stars are out,
they are visible, but when the
lights are out, they are invisible. And why, when I wind up my watch, I
start it, but when I wind up
this essay, I end it?

Did you know that "verb" is a noun?

How can you look up words in a dictionary if you can't spell them?

If a word is misspelled in a dictionary, how would we ever know?

If Webster wrote the first dictionary, where did he find the words?

If you've read a book, you can reread it. But wouldn't this also mean
that you would have to "member"
somebody in order to remember them?

In Chinese, why are the words for crisis and opportunity the same?

Is it a coincidence that the only 15 letter word that can be spelled
without repeating a letter is
uncopyrightable?

Shouldn't there be a shorter word for "monosyllabic"?

What is another word for "thesaurus"?

Where do swear words come from?

Why can't you make another word using all the letters in "anagram"?

Why do people use the word "irregardless"?

Why do some people type "cool" as "kewl?"

Why do we say something's out of order when its broken but we never say
in of order when it works?

Why does "cleave" mean both split apart and stick together?

Why does "slow down" and "slow up" mean the same thing?

Why does flammable and inflammable mean the same thing?

Why does X stand for a kiss and O stand for a hug?

Why doesn't "onomatopoeia" sound like what it is?

Why don't we say "why" instead of "how come"?

Why is "crazy man" an insult, while to insert a comma and say "Crazy,
man!" is a compliment?

Why is abbreviation such a long word?

Why is dyslexic so hard to spell?

Why is it so hard to remember how to spell MNEMONIC?

Why is it that no word in the English language rhymes with month, orange,
silver, or purple?

Why is it that the word "gullible" isn't in the dictionary?

Why is the alphabet in that order? Is it because of that song?

Why isn't "palindrome" spelled the same way backwards?

Why isn't phonetic spelled the way it sounds?

English is a crazy language! (yet somehow I majored in it!)

Thanks...

Thanks dude...

weather be "hot as hell" one day and "cold as hell" another?

(yet somehow I majored in it!)

hey u guys

So I played volleyball today. What rust. I suck. Ah well. I practiced after the game and felt a lot better. Next time, I'll do better.

KOBE:
I'm worried for the dude. The girl he allegedly raped won't testify under the judges ruling. Things don't seem to be going into his favour.

VINCE:
I'm excited for the upcoming season. I don't think there will be too much of a let down this season. I wanna get their new red jersey

BDAY:
Today is Dylan's dad's bday. Happy birthday Tito Fro! They went to Fatima today and on their way back, they visited me. My dad visited me too. I very much appreciate how much they care for me. It's nice.

GRAMMAR:
Dy says I commit a lot of grammatical errors. I don't proof read my posts. It's supposed to be stream of conscience, memory dump, thought osmosis. It doesn't mean I speaked bad english regularirily.

It's turkey weekend this weekend. What u doin?

I think I'm gonna help brent with his new site. Maybe I'll get some exclusives for you fans.

Sauna Story

Check this out.

After hip hop the other day, I decide to hit the sauna. I enter and see this older dude that I usually see around the Gym. He's a 30 something chinese dude, a university alumni I suppose.

Almost instantly, he starts telling me a story that allegedly happened in Waterloo. The story is about a guy who is carrying a lot of money, but is beaten robbed by a gang. He, however, knows who robs him and so he calls the police. The gang finds out he called the police so they got rid of the money by buying things and giving them away to homeless people. The gang also calls the police and says that the guy they robbed is making a scene. Now it appears it's one word against the other.

Instanly, I have questions. Obviously, the guy who is talking is the one who got robbed, but I asked to give real context. Last year, the Raptors had their training camp in waterloo. They had a game in our gym that was open to the public. It raised about $10000 for the Athletic Department. Apparently, some of the money was supposed to go to him. Instead, some staff stole the money that was supposed to go to him. The guy called the police, but to no avail.

He started naming names and giving all types of evidence, but I told him straight up that his case was holy, as in it had lots of holes.

If it's true, then this is an incredible story. This guy, however, is jobless and living with his parents. The staff members have worked in Waterloo for a very long time. Who are people going to believe?

I'll probably see this dude again, so I'll probe him for more questions.
