I'm too lazy to put a subject
Drink 8 x 8 glasses of water each day
Take Vitamin? B5 (pantothenic acid) 50 mg 3 x a day . It is an anti-stress vitamin that is involved in healthy cellular reproduction. It is a fact that deficiencies of it in the body have been linked to acne.?
Take Zinc 30-80 mg a day (no more). It aids in healing tissue and helps prevent scarring. Helps regulate oil producing glands.
Take Garlic or eat it! Garlic strengthens the immune system and destroys harmful bacteria and some toxins.
Take Vitamin C 3,000 mg a day in 2 doses. It has anti-inflammatory properties as well as immune function support.
Eat fish! or take Essential Fatty Acids to supply the skin with gamma linolenic acid that is needed to keep skin soft, repair damage and help dissolve fatty deposits in the skin pores. Be careful of Sushi, as the nori wrap contains huge doses of iodine, which is irritating to pores as it is excreted through the skin.
Avoid products with mineral oil, petroleum, waxes, tallowates, fragrances
Change you pillow case every 2-3 days
Avoid greasy hair pomades or gels ( can get on your skin at night while you sleep or aggravate scalp, hairline.)
Wash your cell phone or house phone with alcohol or anti-bac soap often

Re: Mr. Fantastic
I should be "The Thing" I'll have to lose weight and muscle though
I just went for a ran about 4KM in the park with 15cm of snow. I felt like Rocky. It was fun
I'm watching this TV show called Dance 360. The dude with big lips from Onyx hosts the show. They have a big circle of dancers and they basically pick dancers from the circle to showcase and battle. It's kinda ghetto and wack at the same time: wacko. In the episode I saw, dancers were pretty wack. Try to watch it.

I appreciate the greetings from everyone. Thanks very much.
Like I said before the holidays began, we need to think about Christ and all of our blessings.
We all have crosses to bear. For me: stress of school, career choices, and skin problems. Most of the time, these things frustrate me and give me a pessimistic and dark view of the world. These holidays, however, showed me that I'm blessed with so many family and friends who support me unconditionally.
I don't know how I'll pay them back, but I will.

Happy Birthday Ray!
Happy Belated Birthday Ray! Sorry man I missed the dinner I didn't check my email until late yesterday...the restaurant was near my house too! Ya I wanted to hook up with you over the break. I live together with this guy in Loo and I think I've seen him a total of 10 times all term at the house, just because we're always working so hard. Anyway, happy birthday man, hopefully next term won't be as busy and we can chill out more!

Merry Christmas
Yes, sorry I have been trying to avoid the computer as much as possible since finishing my last exam. These exams went pretty well. I got one of the highest exam marks in the course I was a total dumb ass in: Circuit Analysis and Design. I studied my ass off for it, so I think I earned it.
Hopefully, we all remember why we have these holidays. It's about Christ's birth. This time provides us with another opportunity to give thanks for all of our blessings no matter how many hardships we have gone through.
It's a season of giving, so I'm giving this to you: this year's Christmas card from Dy and I:

Happy Birthday dad!
A super massive auspicious happy birthday goes out to my DAD!
Re: I'm back in town: When are you leaving? I'm back the 22nd.
Got my grad pics back today. I don't think my mom will be pleased. I was in the real-time lab almost two days straight, but I got a half night's rest before the pictures. Fake smiling, but not absolutely horrible as you would assume. My sisters look better in their grad pics than I do in mine....I was a little afraid I'd look like a ghost like in my highschool grad pic, but I didn't really.
Ah well what are you gonna do?
You know my hard drive is failing on my main machine...That's two hard drives in 5 months. Thank God for waranties. Don't trust your hard drive.

pretty woman
I went Christmas shopping today and I felt like Pretty Woman carrying all those bags through the mall. I'm glad I made progress this time. My previous attempts at shopping were disasters. I think Church had an effect on it. At the end of mass, the priest said "Don't let the Christmas holiday stresses get to you. Just enjoy the holiday." It's simple, but effective.
Re: Cool site: that's like that zeller's commercial with the infinite picture zooms. Everytime I saw that commercial, I thought to my self, "What the heck is Zeller's doing with such a cool commercial"
I finished my Circuits exam yesterday. It went OK, but I'm glad I'm done with that chapter of my life.

firefox
Timothy must have donated an obscene amount of money or something. That's my guess.
Sorry your firefox is crashing on you. I'm guessing you're using the latest version? Thanks for supporting the browswe though!
The reason I like firefox is:
L: you're site has Microsoft specific javascript code, but it still looks good to me. There are a few sites that are still like that. My guess is that people have to start designing sites for browsers other than IE. Even Netscape is coming out with a new one. Netscape is a little different now. They're using 2 different engines to render pages: IE and firefox (gecko). So I guess you have the best and worst of both worlds.
I've restarted development on this site. I'm not saying it will be finished soon, because I'm basically rewriting this site from scratch. The codebase is 2.5 years old now and it will claim it's retirement fund before 3.
I'll be making my brief return to Toronto in 5 days, but I have 3 exams before that. Hopefully I'm sane by that time.
Sorry your firefox is crashing on you. I'm guessing you're using the latest version? Thanks for supporting the browswe though!
The reason I like firefox is:
- Tabbed browsing: multiple windows are too messy
- Extensibility: free extensions like Weather, adblock, and the ability to write my own extensions
- security: I'm sick of installing patches that require me to restart my computer and using a browser that's a constant target

I'm not supposed to be a Microsoft Nut, but I never could get into Firefox =(
There's some cool stuff going on there, and surely Microsoft has been pretty lazy with putting out a new version, but it's worked fine for me.
Oh yeah, and Firefox doesn't display my site properly.

If you are still using Internet Explorer, Go here to get a real browser. It seems like I'm hating on Microsoft, but I'm not. I'm hating on bad products. I like XP, but I hate IE and their stupid routers, among other things.
Anyway, a while back, I probably mentioned that I donated a few bucks to Firefox because they were running a full page ad in the New York Times. If you donate, your name gets printed. Obviously there was a lot of people who donated and they raised enough funds to publish two pages. Because there are so many, it seems insignificant...but I'm still part of history.
The torrent of exams begins very soon.

microsoft Router
If you are thinking of going wireless with your network, DO NOT consider Microsoft's Wireless Router. It is a complete piece of junk. I have to reboot the router 4-6 times a week! That's with the latest firmware too! I finally understood why they stopped making them. They are probably on sale now, but don't be tempted to buy it. I'm glad I never bought it. It just came with the place I'm renting.
Microsoft should just stick to things they're good at. They should stay away from hardware and let the real engineers do their job.

long time
Hey..it's been a while since I've posted. I've been studying very hard for my finals. Particularly, I've been studying hard for Electric Circuit Analysis and Design. I'm not naturally good at that course so I have to work extra hard at it. I've made good progress, but my brain's feeling a little toasted...In any case, wish me luck on that one. Perhaps some prayer too...
You might notice that I changed the "Me Today" pic. That pic was like more than a year old. This year's Christmas gift for myself was a $7 Flash hat. That's as much as I deserve this year, but I'm proud of it.
Speaking of Superheros, you probably know that there is a superman movie coming out in 2006. There's been talk of a supergirl movie. Check out this photoshoped promo somebody did. It looks pretty good.
If you don't know this girl, she's from the movie "The Girl Next Door" and the TV show "Popular Mechanics for Kids". I was a huge fan of Popular Mechanics, not because of her, but because I love those shows like Bill Nye the Science Guy.
I haven't only been studying, to keep myself sane, I have been running everyday at the Gym. Also, I started up that old never ending project called "redesigning this site". I looked at my design I whipped up over the summer....wack...so I'm doing another one.
Oh yeah, go to that The One thing...support the locals!
I have exams till the 22nd. I'll be doing some late Christmas shopping.

You might notice that I changed the "Me Today" pic. That pic was like more than a year old. This year's Christmas gift for myself was a $7 Flash hat. That's as much as I deserve this year, but I'm proud of it.

Re: My concert
As I said earlier, I went to Lawrence's concert. He's part of a Catholic music band called Critical Mass. The event was part of a fund raising project for a church. Here's a pic from where I was sitting:
Here's a pic of lawrence after the show...lifting the keyboard with ease:
Here's lawrence and Jeff Wong, another SMC alumuni.
Finally, here's Big L doing the customary autograph for a big fan. Quick Fact: Lawrence learned to read before kindergarten, but he still holds a pen like he's in kindergarten.
I enjoyed the show. It's not exactly my kind of music, but I was entertained. Lawrence looked like he was into it, so did the lead vocalist...although the lead sounded a little raw...perhaps too much singing? The lead vocalist pocketed my favourite syrup, Buckley's. So I'm guessing he's not 100%.
Highlight of the night would have to be "O Come Emmanuel"...not because Emmanuel is my middle name, but because it was slow, I like songs where the bass line drives the melody, and I understood the words. This brings me to my one criticism. I couldn't understand any of the lyrics to any of the songs. I think I heard "Jesus" here and "pray" somewhere, but those words could have easily been "heathen" and "spray". For Christian music, the lyrics are 90% of the performance. We're not talking about Reggae where lyrics don't matter since they probably don't make sense anyway. Oh but I'd like to hear some Catholic Reggae.
So I couldn't understand and so they started to look like a good sounding rock band. I was going to buy the CD after, but vintage me, I didn't have cash. I'm a bad target if you want to rob me of cash.
I had a good time though and I'm proud of L and his crew. They've got a superstar, non-stop scehdule so I hope they come out sane.

You got me
I was listening to "You Got Me" by the Roots on my MP3 player and I just realized what Eryka Badu is saying. I know it's an old song, but this is a revelation to me. If you didn't know either, then read then listen.
If you are worried about where
I been or who I saw or
what club I went to with my homies
Baby don't worry you know that you got me
Also, I went to L's fund raising concert. I'll post pictures and a review when I get home tonight.

happy Birthday Dave!
A massive happy birthday goes out to Dave Paek, my sister, Eileen's, bf.
Your gift will come after exams, Dave...sorry for the delay
If you haven't noticed, there have been some interesting posts in the guestbook. I'm glad those comments are going there than here.
I have two more classes and one tutorial left in this term. I wouldn't say this term flew by. It was more like a walk through sludge.
I took my grad pictures today...bright and early at 8:20AM. I'm usually quite pale in the morning, so I wouldn't be suprised if I look like a ghost.
I asked the photographer why everyone looks like a stiff board in their pictures, particularly males. He said that most people don't know how to pose for headshots and males have a tendency to look effeminate.
Since I have exams till the 22nd, Christmas shopping may happen later than expected.
In response to some previous posts in the guestbook:
My sister, Melissa, is not my twin. I never heard that one before.
Someone doesn't understand this site. I'll let she/he figure it out...and i'm not gay.

Too bad you couldn't stop by! It was crazy and UWB was awesome!
On the bright side, only 2-3 more weeks of stressful work, endless nights, mad studying... then it's X-mas!
Good luck on finals! See you next term; can't wait for a new term of hip hop!!! =)

What?
what was stolen from you my friend? I do not trust anybody except my bestfriend. Maybe you do not put it in proper place.
Cheer up, at least you still have your virginity.

stolen again
Another thing was stolen from me. This is getting ridiculous. I'm 95% sure it was another university student. What possesses people to act so stupidly? My faith and trust in people has diminished.

out of shape
I decided to do some cardio on thursday and I unfortunately found out that I'm out of shape. I had trouble running 20 minutes on an elliptical. By the next day, however, I was better. I ran 30 minutes with relative ease.
I'm guessing hip hop is not enough exercise for me. I think my body is too used to it. I think I should practice breaking more....
Unfortunately, I'll be missing Leore's baptism tomorrow. Leore is my friend's Nick and Teo's sister, Tea's, new baby. The timing does not work with damn school schedule. In any case, I know they have good things planned for her. Congratulations on her new life with God!
Yesterday, I also caught a glimpse of Ground FX, a breaking competition at Waterloo. Watching it pretty much summed up my frustration and disappointment with myself. I haven't been able to make it to Friday practices or weeknight practices since I've gone to Toronto so much and I have a lot of work. Anyway, it was a good turn out and our own UWB made it to the final round! I don't think they won, but they did well. Congrats!
OK off to my second home, the Real-Time lab.

props to L
Much props to L. Lawrence was born to do this. Critical Mass is a really good group with quality production. I haven't heard their new stuff, but I'm sure it's good. Good job L. The only drawbacks are the groupies, but I'm sure you can handle them nuns ;)
It's the last two weeks of classes and I have something due in everything. I'm on top of my gram in two of my courses, but there's a lot of pressure on the other courses.
FJ recently made a CD of pictures from this year's hip hop club. I might be biased, but this is my favourite picture. I didn't do my back flip as high though, but it's all good.

censorship
I'm not a fan of censorship, but I'm taking one step towards it. I'm going to move posts like, "Ray you are ugly" or "this site sucks" to the Guestbook. My ugliness is not news, it's fact. Besides, I can't stand the stupidity of some of the readers of my site. Their stupidity is embarassing (for example, "lyric's" last post).
You know everytime I go home or I see someone I haven't seen for a while, they tell me the same thing: "Your site is wack!" Sadly I agree. The quality of posts have deterioated, but it has gotten a little better over the past week (with exception of lyric).
Like I've said before, parents, aunts/uncles, young cousins come to this site. Please be respectful.

happy birthday Knaked Knight!
Before the day ends, I have to make a massive happy birthday to Geoff aka Sir Blurr aka Knaked Knight. on Saturday, Geoff was joined by a bunch of his friends (including his UofT engineering friends) at a Chinese buffer. Here's a pic of geoff before he's suprised with a makeshift cake from Czar.
I drew an upside down jordan symbol on his card. It was supposed to be Jordan doing a 1990. I don't think he realized I did that because it's his Jordan bday (see Jordan's number). Happy birthday Brotha!
Later that night, Geoff introduced me to that dope donkey kong game on gamecube. It's like the music version of DDR except you are tapping bongos! One of the highlights had to be when I was battling Teo in the game. Teo was apparently smoking me with perfect scores and timing...until we realized I was facing the COMPUTER and not teo...oh you had to be there....
In other disturbing news, my car stereo was stolen last night. I might have forgotten to lock the passenger door, but I don't live in a ghetto. It was wal-martly cheap, but what's disturbing is that it happened on my driveway. Something happened to my car before. If you remember from a while ago, someone egged MY car, not any other car around...MY car. In all likelihood, it's a random act of stupidity, but ever since the egging and when my bike was stolen just over a year ago, I'm starting to feel like I'm a target. If I am a target, I don't like this indirectness. Confront me!
I drew an upside down jordan symbol on his card. It was supposed to be Jordan doing a 1990. I don't think he realized I did that because it's his Jordan bday (see Jordan's number). Happy birthday Brotha!

happy birthday Knaked Knight!

Libel
Dan's referring to a case where someone was found guilty of libel because of something they said in an email or something like that. I dunno what that has to do with anything, but that's what he was talking about.
I never got into Firefox.
Critical Mass is gonna be playing a concert in Kitchener on Dec 5...dunno if you'd have time to come out to that or not.

re: night crawler..
Hey ... i've been a little busy the past few days. The reason I stayed up for 41 hours was because I had a big assignment due for my Real-Time Programming course. For those of you unfamiliar with it, it's probably waterloo's most famous course. In this course, we build our own kernel (the heart of an operating system), and create applications that controls and monitors a train set. It's trickier than it sounds....
I don't know how I stayed up that long. No pills, no drugs obviously. I did have a large Iced Cap from timmy's though.
hey dan, i have no idea what you are talking about.
re: Hello.
I do have some videos, but i just can't find the time much less the energy to edit and upload them...
Di2...honestly, i haven't looked into removing spyware. I don't install shady programs. If some do pop up, i just go to add/remove programs...or i look in the registry...
i wouldn't worry so much about the spyware..unless you are doing something evil...
i'll look into it though..
Did i mention firefox is the shzz?
rumours of a blockbuster deal involving vince carter, jalen rose, for some portland crap. Although, Vince crapped out on the last road trip, that trade is not worth it.

awake since my last post
I have been awake for 41 hours. That can't be healthy, but I feel like I can still stay up for at least 12 more hours.
I don't think I've stayed awake this long before. I value my sleep very much. In any case, I think I should sleep now.
good night.

i hate voodoo
Voodoo is the kind of weird stuff that happens when programming. In my Real-Time class, I built my own kernel and am writing an app to run a train set. Funky things happen that take lots of time to debug. This class hasn't been so bad all term, but it is now sucking up my time.
Just down the street from Waterloo, a University of Laurier prof scored $125K for email slander! check it out here. It's a precedent in canada so be careful about sending hateful email about professionals...
ok back to my long day at school...

remembrance day
It was Remembrance Day two days ago. I didn't forget, but I didn't post anything. That day really reminds me of high school. November 11 is an important day for St. Michael's College. We sent many of our students off to war who would never come back. Looking back, I don't think I would be ready to go to war in grade 12.
Every year, our whole school would stand (not sit) in the gym for a ceremony to honour the survivors and read out the names of the students who died. The list was so long that people fainted from standing so long.
.... just a high school story

re: check this out ray
Thanks for the link!
I read the first post "Brent's pissed". I'm not so sure that was really Brent who posted that. It does not sound like him and he usually doesn't post here. If he has something to say, he usually emails me directly.
who are the torontobabes? What kind of advice do you need? There's a contact link on the left of this page if you need it.
By the way, knaked knight is not single.
Don't you love the minute distribution on the Raptors? I missed the game, but I did read the boxscore...

father and son
My dad and I just hanging out in front of the festivities at the amazon picnic.
We also managed to play some broom ball
my parents are kids
Here's my mom climbing at the amazon picnic.
My parents are racing to the finish
I've fallen and i can't get up. My mom's stuck and some kids are trying to help.
Of course, this gives my dad the extra time to beat my mom in the race.
For those of you worried, don't be. My mom made it out OK.
